I am a firm believer in the power of positive thinking, but I am a bigger believer in the power of a righteous life and “doing the work”. In the past, ODC has come home from work and told me several stories about several coworkers, and to be honest, I usually end up getting everybody mixed up and confusing the details of their lives with coworkers from other jobs. Well when he started talking about Brittany, I paid a little more attention (probably because he said she wanted to move in with us and be our nanny- my kinda language). A few months went by, and we were in need of a long-term sitter for our 13 week Dave Ramsey, Financial Peace University class. ODC was able to arrange for Brittany to watch the girls every Thursday for about 3 months. During that time, a wonderful relationship developed between our family and Brittany. Our girls LOVE her, and as parents, we know she is someone who we completely trust with our children, primarily because of her lifestyle and her work ethic.
Brittany is not even 25 years old and has started her own magazine, Genesis Magazine, and relocated from Georgia to New York to pursue her dreams. I am so impressed by this young lady and want to encourage everyone to subscribe to her magazine and support her as she “models” what can be done, with focus, purpose, intention, and most importantly God.
We were honored that Brittany thought enough of Offdachain and Outtdabox to feature us in her most recent issue of Genesis Magazine. Please visit the site and subscribe. I’m first on her list when her expansion requires some part-time telecommuting assistance :-). We all miss our favorite babysitter, when she comes to town, she manages to squeeze us in for a visit and sometimes she even grants us a “Pro Bono” date night . When (not if) she makes it big, we are thankful to be witnesses to her success.
