Election 2012: A blessing & A curse

The land of the free and the home of the brave has voted Barack Obama into the office of President of the United States for a 2nd term.  The sad part is this election has divided the country in half and I am totally confused.  Another sad part is I believe it has further divided the most segregated piece of our society, the church.  On one side you have  people crying tears of happiness and on the other side you see tears of anguish.  How can everyone in the country be crying?  Is this a blessing or a curse?

I believe it is both.

A blessing because once again history has been made when the President of the United States of America has been voted into office and he is black, but the reaction from some is AND he is BLACK! Who would not be happy to support such an historical event?

Well, I will tell you.  The “biblical principal” christians who believe it is a curse.

I am still trying to make heads or tells of this but the confusing part comes when the announcement is made of the winner and you allow your children to see you acting like them when they lose a game at the playground. You are stomping your feet and beating your hand against the wall.

And the challenge for me comes because you have not always had your candidate win the Presidential Race in the past and I don’t believe you acted this way.

Tell me if I am wrong.

So when I notice you and ask you why you are SOOOOO UPSET your response is that the person who won does not support “biblical principles”, but you assume the guy you supported did and that is absolutely not true.

The reality is you have a race issue and don’t realize it.  Here is your proof:

1. You are acting different today than the last time your candidate did not win but that time your guy lost to a white guy.  So you supported the office and not the person…Probably how you should be doing now, but ohhhhh.

2. You say you support America(and you did after the Bush Mafia Family pardoned over 10 people who were guilty after The Iran Contra and started a war in IRAQ and you are hurt over Benghazi) but you don’t support the system and the person who won both Electorial Vote and Popular Vote as YOUR PRESIDENT!

3. You are a Christian who never supported Mormonism until 90 days ago. Where they do that at?

4. You said you did not like President Obama because he supported same sex marriage and then you found out Governor Romney was the first person to pass same sex marriage in the state of Massachusetts while he was Governor and you said, “Oh.” (but continued on like you never got that information)

And number 5.  You forgot that you don’t get to just…as Voddie Baucham says, “Get to pick which commandments you follow.”

This is both a great and a sad day for our country and I will only allow it to be AWESOME in my home.  I just know that when I view those at the speeches after the election…one crowd look more like America than the other.(100% one race vs. ALL FACES) You can choose how you demonstrate your “biblical principles” but remember when you win the popular vote you must be the guy who is bearing MUCH FRUIT!

  1. I know you will disagree with me, but you should not hide the awesomeness. It is not a sad day for you country, in my view. It is a day of rebirth. The changing of the guard. Look to the future and in time the old guard will be no more.
